I was born and raised in a small town in rural Louisiana named Winnsboro. The town was not that big and I learned a lot about myself while I was there. I attended Crowville High School in Crowville, Louisiana (a town that has one flashing yellow light). During my time at Crowville, I had the opportunity to study the Russian language. I mean, for a class of 30 people at a K-12 school, Russian was not really very "normal", it was odd taking this class when everyone else thought it was stupid.

I had the most amazing opportunity to learn the language and to spend some time in Krasnodar, Russia during my senior year of high school. While in Krasnodar, I lived with a host family, went to high school, and made some amazing friends. It was truly the most amazing experience of my life.
